About Anjum
My interest in homeopathy started after suffering facial injury in a car accident in the early 1980’s. Homeopathic treatment after the accident did wonders to strengthen my gums and teeth, and my dentist was very surprised.
I was fascinated by the body’s ability to look after itself, and was drawn to exploring “energy medicine”, in particular, homeopathy. I studied and trained in Edinburgh at the Edinburgh College of Classical Homeopathy and then the Edinburgh College of Homeopathy, before qualifying to practise in 1998. I became a fully registered member of the Society of Homeopaths in 2003, the largest registering body in the UK.
Over the years, I have treated a wide variety of people – men, women, children – who have come to me with an equally wide range of problems. My aim has always been to treat the whole person, whether it is those using homeopathy as their primary treatment choice or as a complement to other forms of medicine. I have also taught short courses in homeopathy for those interested in the everyday use of homeopathy.
As part of continuing professional development, I attended a post-graduate year at the Sydney College of Homeopathic Medicine, Australia in 1999. More recently, I have been studying with Dr. Subrata Banerjea from Kolkata, India to broaden my knowledge and skills.
In addition to running my practice, I teach communication skills at the medical school of the University of Dundee.
